Still Fighting – The Issues Affecting LGBTQIA+ Young People’s Mental Health
Still Fighting is a 27 minute live digital theatre performance followed by a 1.5 hour training session exploring the issues affecting LGBTQIA+ young people’s mental health. Created through research and consultation with steering group of multi-agency front-line workers.
Who is it for?
This is a level 2 course which is suitable for all front-line practitioners who work with children, young people and their families. It explores the issues affecting LGBTQIA+ young people’s mental health.
By the end of the session the participants will:
- Have a clear understanding of the issues that affect LGBTQIA+ young people’s mental health, and how they have an impact.
- A greater understanding of how to make professional practice more inclusive for LGBTQIA+ young people.
- Ways to support LGBTQIA+ young people’s mental health
- Will know which agencies to signpost to for additional support
A certificate of attendance will be auto-generated and received on completion of the evaluation form. Therefore it is vital that you complete this as this is the only method you will receive a certificate of attendance.
DSCP Training Charging Policy
DSCP maintain a charging policy and the aim of the policy is to manage the demand on the multi-agency training programme delivered to ensure it is fairly accessed. It is also a reflection of the resources required to deliver the partnerships multi-agency training programme and the cost associated with non-attendees.
Training is currently offered to agencies of the partnership including all Early Years Providers. Private and for-profit organisations who do not come into these categories, will be charged £30 per person per half day course.
Cancellation/No-Attendance Policy (The implementation of this is at the discretion of the DSCP)
If you need to change or cancel your booking it is vital that you email DSCPTraining@durham.gov.uk at the earliest opportunity so that this place can be offered to others and to avoid any charges that may be incurred.
