Missing and Exploited Children

Our analysis of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) found strong links between sexual exploitation and those young people who are reported missing from home.Similar links exist between missing and an emerging concern of Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE)

Child Sexual Exploitation

We continue to implement the County Durham Child Sexual Exploitation and Action Plan to prevent, protect and pursue all forms of CSE. Follow the links to read more about Child Sexual Exploitation, you can also download the CSE Intelligence / Information Submission Form and the Child Sexual Exploitation Risk Assessment Tool.

Child Criminal Exploitation

Read more about this through the government’s Serious Violence Strategy  here. Read the government’s guidance on County Lines here The same process for sharing intelligence as set out above applies to CCE.

Go #Knifefree – a resource for young people from the Home Office

The #knifefree website provides advice and guidance for young people on the risks of carrying knife backed up by real stories, and includes a get help and support page.
