TRAINING COURSES 2021/22
Due to the number of enquiries we are currently receiving we are unable to respond to any training related communications sent to the Business Team.

In line with the DSCP Restoration Plan, DSCP Training is currently delivered either by Virtual Training Platforms using Microsoft Teams or by Narrated Slideshows.
DSCP currently has the following training courses available for booking:
Neglect and Poverty – Level 2 – NEW FROM JANUARY 2022
Neglect Basics and Toolkit – Level 2
Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Awareness – Level 2 – (February 2022)

Our Training Programme is underpinned by the DSCP Training Strategy and is designed to support commissioners and practitioners to embed good practices in relation to the safeguarding of children and young people in County Durham. Download a copy of the Training Strategy.
Confirmation emails will be sent out within 2 weeks of your application and will contain an Microsoft Teams link to enable you to access the session along with any pre-reading material/pre-learning requirements.
It is the responsibility of the participant to update their own calendars with course details.
Please note training now runs on a first come first served basis.
This course is free to agencies that are members of the Durham Safeguarding Children Partnership including the Voluntary and Charitable sector. For Private Organisations and there is a charge of £30 per person per course. A certificate of attendance is only then issued once the course, any pre-learning and the evaluation form have been completed and returned.
