TRAINING COURSES 2021/22
In line with the DSCP Restoration Plan, work has been undertaken to relaunch the DSCP Training Programme via a virtual training platform. This means that all face to face training has been cancelled and replaced by either virtual training platforms or narrated slideshows.

Our Training Programme is underpinned by the DSCP Training Strategy and is designed to support commissioners and practitioners to embed good practices in relation to the safeguarding of children and young people in County Durham. Download a copy of the Training Strategy.
Confirmation emails will be sent out within 2 weeks of your application and will contain an MS Teams link to enable you to access the session along with any pre-reading material/pre-learning requirements.
It is the responsibility of the participant to update their own calendars with course details.
Please note training now runs on a first come first served basis.
This course is free to agencies that are members of the Durham Safeguarding Children Partnership including the Voluntary and Charitable sector. For Private Organisations and there is a charge of £30 per person per course. A certificate of attendance is only then issued once the course, any pre-learning and the evaluation form have been completed and returned. Participants who do not attend or fulfil the requirements of the training course will be issued with a non-completion fee of £25.
