Safeguarding Children for Managers/Designated Leads or Practitioners with safeguarding responsibility (level 3/4)
Who is it for?
This course is relevant for Managers/Designated Leads who supervise staff that work with parents, carers, children and young people. It is also relevant for anyone who has a safeguarding responsibility within their job role and require safeguarding level 3/4 training. For example keyworkers/social workers/health visitors
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the session, participants will:
Know their responsibility and what is expected when there is a concern about a child
Understand what to do when there is a allegation against a member of staff
Know more about safer recruitment processes
Understand the importance of the voice of the child and lived experiences
Understand the importance of information sharing and effective communication
Will have an understanding of the harm matrix and signs of safety
Understand the importance of professional curiosity and challenge
A certificate of attendance will be auto-generated and received on completion of the evaluation form. Therefore it is vital that you complete this as this is the only method you will receive a certificate of attendance.
DSCP Training Charging Policy
DSCP maintain a charging policy and the aim of the policy is to manage the demand on the multi-agency training programme delivered to ensure it is fairly accessed. It is also a reflection of the resources required to deliver the partnerships multi-agency training programme and the cost associated with non-attendees.
Training is currently offered to agencies of the partnership including all Early Years Providers. Private and for-profit organisations who do not come into these categories, will be charged £50 per person per half day course.
Cancellation/No-Attendance Policy (The implementation of this is at the discretion of the DSCP)
If you need to change or cancel your booking it is vital that you email DSCPTraining@durham.gov.uk at the earliest opportunity so that this place can be offered to others and to avoid any charges that may be incurred.
